2050 (Disappearing Cities), 2016
Using historical maps and the silver gelatin printing process, 2050 examines the effect of sea level rise on twenty cities that are most endangered by the effects of climate change. By not fixing the prints of the maps in the darkroom the land masses gradually fade to black as they are exposed to light. Conversely the water in the images is printed and fixed seperately and is unchanged by the exposure to light.
